OrderUp, a Baltimore based company offering restaurant delivery service through a website and mobile app, has entered the Raleigh market.
Customers in the downtown Raleigh and N.C. State University delivery area may order from more than 30 local restaurants.
"Raleigh is a town that embraces the tech and startup communities, and is home to a world-class university, making it a perfect fit for OrderUp." said Chris Jeffery, CEO and co-founder of OrderUp, in a release.
OrderUp, founded in 2009, employs 129 people nationwide, 69 of which are in the Baltimore area. A spokesperson for the company says Order Up Raleigh will have a general manager, operations manager, and community marketing manager based here. Delivery drivers are independent contractors.
OrderUp operates in 36 markets, according to the TBJ's sister publication, Baltimore Business Journal.
