OrderUp expands footprint fivefold with new Can Company office

01/05/2015 Baltimore Business Journal

After months of amoeba-like growth, Baltimore food delivery company OrderUp is moving to an office five times the size of its current digs.

OrderUp has taken for 14,000 square feet of space on the second floor of the Can Company building along Boston Street in Canton. The company was previously based nearby at 3500 Boston St. in Canton's Broom Factory building.

The new lease started Jan. 1.

The online food ordering and delivery company raised $10 million in a Series A this past August and has since been expanding into new markets and hiring like crazy.

OrderUp has 128 employees across the U.S., with 69 at its Baltimore headquarters.

"OrderUp's Baltimore-based team has more than quadrupled since the end of 2013," said Chris Jeffery, CEO and co-founder of OrderUp. "The space at the Can Company allows the team to be in one contiguous space that was already designed so that we can immediately drive business forward."
